I AM A SINNER SAVED BY GRACE.
I believe there is a standard, set by God, that I live my life in obedience to Him. A million times over, I have chosen my own way. This disobedience disqualifies me from being a part of the family of God. But, I believe the Gospel: by His grace, Jesus still loves me. His death and resurrection count for me. He paid the death-debt that I owed, clothed me in His righteousness and welcomed me into the family. Now I live for Him.
I AM A COMMUNICATOR OF ONE GOSPEL.
The good news of Jesus Christ is that he actually loves us. Though we are all rebels, He came to bring us back into the family - the Kingdom of God. This happened on a very real day when Jesus climbed Calvary's hill, gave everything of himself, and died a death reserved for the worst of sinners. Why would the sinless one suffer a sinner's fate? Love. His sacrifice paid the debt owed by every man so that we could become the righteousness of God.
I AM MARRIED TO JANIE.
I met Janie while I was in seminary, convinced her to let me take her on a date, and promptly fell in love with her. Janie is bright, enthusiastic and will make you smile within 60 seconds of meeting her. She is a graduate of the University of Alabama and helps me pick out my clothes. She loves discipleship, running and eating cereal.
